Concrete Resurfacing System

Concrete resurfacing is a great option for fixing or updating old concrete surfaces. Brickform’s resurfacing products are designed to work together for a quality end result.

Surface Preparation

When resurfacing concrete, surface preparation needs vary from project to project.

If you need to remove an old sealer use Brickform Strip-It.
For cleaning go with a pH-neutral detergent like Brickform Neutra Clean.
When etching you can use muriatic acid or Brickform E-Etch.

Note: If etching isn’t enough, grinding, scarification or shotblasting may be needed to create the desired surface profile.

Primer

Using a primer will increase bond strength and make it easier to spread the overlay and achieve a smooth surface. Use Brickform Triple Seven Bond Coat® with Brickform Micro-Topping, SM Professional Grade, Stampable Overlay, and Vertical Mix to ensure best results.

Overlays

Brickform offers a variety of overlays, including:

Coloring

Resurfacing projects can be colored in many of the same ways as traditional concrete.

Overlay Liquid Colorant: Color Brickform overlays integrally. Available in the Brickform Standard Colors.
Color Hardener & Antique Release: Use with OL-60 Stampable Overlay
Concrete Stains and Dyes: Choose from acid stains, water-based or fast drying-dyes

Sealers

Protect resurfaced concrete with premium decorative sealers from Brickform. Choose from a variety of gloss levels.
