Concrete Sealers

BRICKFORM’s premium sealers bring out the natural beauty of the textures and colors unique to a decorative surface. These superior, durable sealers also protect the finish from sun damage, yellowing, scuffing and premature wear.

Acrylic Sealers

Acrylic sealers form a film on the surface of the concrete that protects against common stains and dirt, repels water and enhances appearance. They come in solvent-based formulations.

Cure & Seals

These sealers can be applied immediately after final finish and all surface water has completely evaporated. Cure and seals minimize moisture loss from evaporation in newly placed concrete to provide maximum strength, hardness and protection.

Concrete Sealer FAQs

What is the best sealant to use on concrete?

The best sealant to use on concrete will depend on the surface being sealed. Look for a high-quality sealer that provides excellent protection against water, UV rays, and stains while enhancing the appearance of the concrete surface.

When should you seal concrete?

Traditionally, concrete is sealed when it has fully cured, which typically takes 28 days. However, if you want to seal right after pouring, you can apply a cure and seal product once the bleed water has disappeared. Refer to the specific TIS for the sealer you choose to get timing recommendations. Always seal when the weather conditions are dry and the concrete surface is clean. You may need to reseal every few years to keep your concrete looking its best.

What’s the best outdoor concrete sealer?

The best outdoor concrete sealer offers excellent protection against harsh weather conditions, UV rays, water damage, and stains. It may also enhance the color and appearance of the concrete. You can choose from film-forming, or penetrating formulations.

How long does it take to seal concrete?

The time it takes to seal concrete varies based on the size of the area being sealed, the type of sealer used, environmental conditions and the amount of prep work required. In general, sealing concrete can take a few hours to a full day. For a better idea of how long the process will take, refer to the TIS of the specific sealer you are using.

What is the best concrete sealer for a driveway?

If you prefer a wet look, the best concrete sealer for a driveway is Brickform Gem-Seal. If you prefer a natural appearance, Stealth-Seal WB is the way to go. Both sealers provide excellent protection and enhance the durability of your driveway.

What is the best sealer for concrete basement floors?

For sealing concrete basement floors, high-performance sealers or coatings such as polyurethanes, polyaspartics, and epoxies are best. Brickform UreMax is great if you want a matte finish. But if you want a high gloss finish with color enhancement either DecoPoxy or Poly-Astic will do the trick.

What are the best concrete sealers available on the market?

Picking the best concrete sealer for your project depends on your specific application, desired appearance, and environmental preferences. Brickform manufactures a wide range of premium sealers with exceptional durability. Our technical representatives can assist you in determining which option is best for your project.

Are there eco-friendly or low-VOC concrete sealers available?

Water-based acrylic sealers and penetrating sealers with low or no VOC content are recommended for those seeking eco-friendly alternatives with minimal impact on the environment. Consider Gem Cure & Seal WB and Stealth-Seal WB for outdoor concrete or DecoPoxy for indoor floors.
